  • Consolidated group revenues up 1.4 % from last year to € 6,476 (6,387) million.
  • Consolidated operating profit rises significantly to € 426 (241) million. The increase was mainly driven by the sugar segment, but all other segments also contributed.
  • Cash flow tracks operating result and rises sharply to € 634 (480) million.
  • Investments expand substantially, to € 493 (371) million. Investments in fixed assets account for € 329 (371) million
  • ROCE rises to 7.1 (4.2) % as capital employed rises to € 6.0 (5.8) billion.
  • Net financial debt falls significantly to € 413 (555) million.
  • Sugar segment operating result clearly positive despite lower revenues, due especially to higher income from sugar:
    • Revenues: € 2,776 (2,855) million; operating result: € 72 (-79) million
    • Capital employed: € 3,169 (3,041) million; ROCE: 2.3 (-2.6) %
  • Special products segment again reports higher revenues and operating result thanks to continued volume growth:
    • Revenues: € 1,819 (1,791) million; operating result: € 184 (171) million
    • Capital employed: € 1,499 (1,436) million; ROCE: 12.2 (11.9) %
  • CropEnergies able to increase revenues. Operating result higher still, especially due to higher production and sales volumes:
    • Revenues: € 726 (658) million; operating result: € 98 (87) million
    • Capital employed: € 479 (490) million; ROCE: 20.4 (17.7) %
  • Fruit segment improves revenues and operating result, driven especially by higher income from fruit juice concentrates:
    • Revenues: € 1,155 (1,083) million; operating result: € 72 (62) million
    • Capital employed: € 866 (823) million; ROCE: 8.3 (7.5) %
