Südzucker with successful AGRANA share placement

Südzucker AG, Mannheim, has successfully placed 500,000 AGRANA shares within the capital increase of AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG, Vienna. They have been held for sales since the purchase from M&G Fonds in February 2014.

Shares from Südzucker stock and 1.3 million new AGRANA shares from the capital increase have been placed at a price of EUR 100.00 per share. Gross sales proceeds for Südzucker are EUR 50 million and gross issuance proceeds for AGRANA are about EUR 132 million. In total gross proceeds for Südzucker Group of about EUR 182 million have been realized.

Südzucker and Zucker-Beteiligungsgesellschaft m.b.H. (Raiffeisen-Holding Niederösterreich-Wien and others) did not participate in the AGRANA capital increase leading to a dilution of the joint holding company Z&S Zucker und Stärke Holding AG from 86.2 percent to 78.3 percent. Thereby the AGRANA share free float has been increased to 18.4 percent.

Aside to the remaining 200,000 AGRANA shares for sale, Südzucker still holds 1.5 percent of AGRANA directly. Therefore the directly and indirectly held share in AGRANA accounts for 41.9 percent. Südzucker is still entitled at any time to utilize a majority of voting rights in the holding company and therefore a controlling influence over subgroup AGRANA.
